Dissecting the anatomy of corporate culpability in law, for the benefit of humanity.

Unravelling Corporate Fraud aims to examine and re-model the complex and ineffectual laws that currently allow corporations committing commercial fraud to evade justice. The research focuses on the fundamental problem that corporations do not process a natural ‘state of mind’ in the same way as individuals. This makes it difficult to hold them liable for serious misconduct that is dependent on proof of a blameworthy mental state. The project, supported by the ARC and UWA, will have real impact on the just and efficient regulation of corporations, for the benefit of all Australians.
